CY convergent ultrasonic nozzle is an ultrasonic atomizing nozzle with a smaller spray width. It adopts ultrasonic atomizing nozzle technology, and the special contraction flow channel design evenly and centrally distributes the carrier gas, so that the ultrasonic atomized liquid mist is in the form of concentrated spray
CY convergent ultrasonic atomizing nozzles are combined with low-pressure air/gas to produce a soft, highly focused beam of small droplets. Compressed air/gas, usually at 1psi, is introduced into the diffusion chamber of the air hood surrounding the nozzle, producing an evenly distributed air/gas flow around the nozzle stem. The spray generated by the ultrasound at the tip of the stem is immediately entrained in the low-pressure air/airflow. The adjustable focusing mechanism on the air hood allows full control of the spray width. The spray hood is very narrow and hourglass-shaped. The width of the shape is controlled by adjusting the distance from the nozzle to the substrate, ranging from 0.07–1.0 inches (1.78–25 mm). It is very suitable for small devices such as stents, balloon catheters, wires, flux for selective soldering applications, etc.
CY convergent ultrasonic nozzle is an ultrasonic atomizing nozzle with a smaller spray width. It adopts ultrasonic atomizing nozzle technology, and the special contraction flow channel design evenly and centrally distributes the carrier gas, so that the ultrasonic atomized liquid mist is in the form of concentrated spray, thereby reducing the spray area of the ultrasonic nozzle. Since the concentrated ultrasonic nozzle has a small spraying width, it is mainly suitable for various small and medium-sized spraying applications. It complements the Funsonic wide-width spraying ultrasonic nozzle and can be applied to almost all different flat spraying requirements.
Typical applications include fuel cell spraying, i.e. membrane electrode spraying in proton exchange membrane fuel cells, in which a catalyst (e.g., platinum-carbon catalyst) dispersion is ultrasonically atomized and sprayed onto a proton exchange membrane to form a uniform and dense membrane electrode. Since the coalescing ultrasonic nozzle has the advantages of coalescing and concentrated spraying, it can be used for precision spraying of small areas, so the coalescing ultrasonic atomizing nozzle can also be used for spraying on the surface of interventional medical devices such as drugs. Balloon spraying and drug stent spraying. Drugs such as rapamycin and paclitaxel are dissolved in an organic solvent to form a drug solution, which is ultrasonically atomized by a concentrated ultrasonic nozzle and then evenly sprayed on a balloon or stent to form a uniform and dense drug coating on the surface of the balloon catheter and stent. In addition, the coalescing ultrasonic nozzle can also be used for applications such as thin-film solar cell coatings, perovskite solar cell coatings, and PCB flux coatings.
Unlike pressure sprinklers, ultrasonic sprinklers do not use high pressure to force liquid through a small hole to produce spray. The liquid enters through a relatively large center of the sprinkler, without pressure, and is atomized by ultrasonic vibrations within the sprinkler.
Each ultrasonic sprinkler operates at a specific resonant frequency, which determines the median size of the droplets. The size of the droplets varies very little and can be mathematically calculated to be distributed within an accurately predicted range. For example, a 120 kHz sprinkler produces a median droplet size of 18 microns (when spraying water). The higher the frequency, the smaller the median value decreases.
1. Small area spraying
2. Uniform coating: uniformity > 95
3. Save raw materials: raw material utilization rate is more than 85%, which is 4 times that of traditional two-fluid spraying
4. High coating thickness control accuracy: coatings from 20nm to tens of microns can be prepared, and coating thickness can be accurately controlled
5. Atomized particles are uniform and spray flow is ultra-low
6. Intermittent or continuous spraying is possible
7. No nozzle clogging is avoided
8. Anti-corrosion nozzle
9. High-precision controllable spraying
