The melting furnace can be divided into arc melting furnace and induction heating furnace according to the heating method.
The smelting furnace is mainly used for metal smelting, heat treatment and characteristic research of laboratories. Smelting is the process of melting solid metal into liquid by the heating furnace and tempering it. It is also one of the casting production processes. Melting and re-cooling of metals involves complex crystallization processes that can significantly alter the properties of the metal. The melting furnace has two heating modes of arc heating and induction heating.
Arc melting furnace: Arc is a common thermal plasma with extremely high temperatures. Our melting furnaces have a maximum temperature of 3000℃. The main component of the arc melting furnace is the electric welder, which is essentially a large transformer that converts 220V or 380V into a low voltage and high current. Then use the instantaneous short circuit of the positive and negative poles to trigger the arc. The arc is a self-sustaining discharge phenomenon that maintains a relatively long arc stable combustion without extinguishing it without a high voltage.
Induction melting furnace: Induction heating is the use of electromagnetic induction to generate electric current inside the material to be heated, and the energy of these eddy currents is used for heating purposes. Our induction power supply can reach temperatures up to 2000℃. The induction heating power is high frequency power. The workpiece is placed in an inductor wound with a hollow copper tube, and after introducing the intermediate frequency or high-frequency alternating current, the induced current of the same frequency is formed on the surface of the workpiece, and the surface of the part is rapidly heated (it can be heated up to 800 ~ 1000 degrees in a few seconds).
When using, it should be noted that the quartz tube cannot bear too high positive pressure, and the pressure expression number shall not be higher than 0.01Mpa at all times. Also ensure that the water chiller is continuously turned on during use. During the arc melting process, it is necessary to ensure that the electrode cannot touch the copper crucible, otherwise it may cause changes in the composition of the alloy and may even damage the crucible.
